Rough script for news story 3

Presenter

Students of Brookland secondary school, St Martin secondary school and Duncombe secondary school are all hosting performances, In light of raising awareness for Abella Caron, who has been captured and detained outside of her home country France, for ‘inappropriate dress’ whilst visiting Iran on a work trip. These performances will all be taking place in April and Head teachers of all three schools are hoping their students will manage to spread awareness.

North Side FM's Bella Harris spoke to students and parents of the school’s backstage after the shows, in order to ask them why they felt it was so important to draw attention to Abella Caron’s story.

Vox Pop 1 (Mother of student at Brooklands):  I think it’s extremely important for my children to be educated about global issues, such as this.

Vox Pop 2 (Student at Dumcombe Primary school): I love to perform and learn new information. I also think this will be a good way to teach everyone about what is happening in the world today.
