Dissimilar radio websites

After having looked at two radio websites which are similar to my radio station, I am now going to look at two radio websites which are dissimilar to my radio station.

These two websites are going to be Magic and Talk Sport.

Magic radio website

Magic's website has clearly been directed towards an older audience. Despite the colour scheme still being bright and appealing for younger people, and both genders, the presenter is older than the presenters on the other radio stations. This suggests that an older audience will tune into Magic as may feel as though what is being played is directed towards them more.

Unlike Radio 1 and Magic, these artists, such as Billy Jones, are more suited to an older audience as they are not as contemporary.

This image on their website references the 80's, which is a time period directed toward an older audience.

Sports stations are usually targeted at male audiences; all these images on their website being male dominated highlights this.

The website also doesn't include any photographs of the stations presenters. This shows that the channel is directed at any age group from around 15 +.

All the stories on here are sports related, which is completely opposite to my radio show.

Both Magic and Talk Sport are entirely dissimilar to my radio show. This is predominately because Magic is aimed towards an older audience and Talk Sports station theme is Sports. Both of this has been shown through the conventions in their websites; photographs of presenter and listings/images of stories.
