News story 1:

Presenter:

Two arrests have come about in Muswell Hill yesterday afternoon; in response to a protest held by angry residents in disagreement of new night club opening, specialising in Grime music. Local tenants are worried about the increase in crime rates and angrily fought with club owner Simon Wood over prevention of the opening in July going forward.  Local resident Lisa Freeman spoke to our report before scenes turned ugly yesterday.

*Interview*

Reporter (Eli Caine): Hi, I am here today in the midst of the march against the introduction of grime nights within the opening of new nightclub in Muswell Hill.
Certain residents have argued that the club will increase crime rates; leading to break ins, noise disruption, an increase in rubbish on the streets as well as encouraging antisocial behaviour.

 *Noises of protest*

Reporter: Lisa Freeman is a local resident from within the idea, and she feels extremely strongly about abandoning the club opening.  Lisa could you please give us a rough summery on why you feel so strong about the issue?

LISA: Since having lived in this neighborhood for over 10 years, i've unfortunately had to witness the once peaceful area develop into an increasingly higher crime spot. I've only noticed these rates dramatically getting worse by every new 'social spot' which appears to be opened. I am worried that the already over-stretched police in the area will struggle to be able to cope with the opening of yet another club. It is time our voices were heard, and something dramatic is done to resolve this issue.

NEWS PRESENTER: Mr Wood was unavailable for comment. In other news...

Target audience:

This story will be interesting to my target audience, as my radio show is aimed at ages 15-35. Therefor, the main sector of my audience is young people, who would be very interested in the opening of a new club, as it may be something they'd like to try out with friends. The older members of my audience would find this story appealing as they may agree that the club opening is a bad idea. The news story is also appealing to both genders.
