Evaluation - Introduction conventions real media products

Throughout the whole process of creating my own media product, being a radio show, I have ensured I stuck to the correct conventions which are always included in existing shows. 

I did this in order to make my show; North Side fm appear realistic and hold constant authenticity. I have therefore focused on the conventions which were found in News, Adverts and Jingles. In order to make my evaluation of this more clear, I have split them up into three different posts. 

 My first evaluation is going to focus on the research and planning I conducted in regards to conventions which are found in radio news.

After listening to a variety of different radio stations, I have concluded that there a number of different kinds of jingles on each station.  The site below includes many of the different types of jingles. Representation in News presenters

Throughout this post I am going to explore the ways in which News presenters come across to the audience whilst presenting the radio show. For instance, I will be taking note of voices used, language, 'banter', tone of voice and interactions with other presenters. In order to do this, I will be looking at two completely opposite types of radio stations; Kiss  and Magic. By doing this will help me to create the scripting for my own news bulletin.  The first radio show I am going to be looking at is Kiss. There were two presenters on this show, a young male and female. They both spoke in an informal manner, with a slow relaxed voice as well as having 'banter' with each other.
