This news article, taken from 'BBC News', states how Theresa May has outlined the UK's plans to set departure date and time from the EU in law. She has warned that she will not be tollerating any attempts to block Brexit.

Familiarity: It is culturally/geographically close to us as it effects the UK.

Amplitude: It is a big event as it effects the UK's entire population. 

Impact: This story will have a profound effect on people's lives, as it will greatly impact UK's economy.

Predictability: The general vote asking if Brexit should go forward, allowed people to predict whether this was going to happen.

Continuity: Talks of Brexit have been part of a long, on going story throughout the media. 

Scandal: This story is likely to provoke moral outrage from the general public, or other politicians, who may argue against Brexit being beneficial.

Representation in News presenters

Throughout this post I am going to explore the ways in which News presenters come across to the audience whilst presenting the radio show. For instance, I will be taking note of voices used, language, 'banter', tone of voice and interactions with other presenters. In order to do this, I will be looking at two completely opposite types of radio stations; Kiss  and Magic. By doing this will help me to create the scripting for my own news bulletin.  The first radio show I am going to be looking at is Kiss. There were two presenters on this show, a young male and female. They both spoke in an informal manner, with a slow relaxed voice as well as having 'banter' with each other. Dissimilar radio websites

After having looked at two radio websites which are similar to my radio station, I am now going to look at two radio websites which are dissimilar to my radio station. These two websites are going to be Magic and Talk Sport.  Magic radio website Magic's website has clearly been directed towards an older audience. Despite the colour scheme still being bright and appealing for younger people, and both genders, the presenter is older than the presenters on the other radio stations.
